If it wasn't for all the fit-inducing fairy lights, East 17 on the radio and the daily collection of cards displaying photos of under 5's dressed in red velour (I too am guilty as charged) I really wouldn't think it was Christmas. Work is busier than ever, I've done 90% of my shopping online and my clothes are actually baggy (I have a tendency to put on at least 7lbs between November and January!)
Today I have been sent two URGENT! Business cases to write by Thursday and I've got my team Christmas party from 3pm tomorrow. Oh well, I guess in my current situation I can't complain, at least I've got a job!
Despite all the above, I am determined that this Christmas will be awesome. My son is at the perfect age and I know he will be so excited by it. Tonight is my last night at home before my holiday officially begins (it's all girls hotel room tomorrow night). I'll get my head down at work this week and then forget about it.
One of the girls in my team told me about The Portable North Pole today, apparently it's a personalised message from Father Christmas, where he actually talks to the child using information you input. I could earn some serious "cool Mummy" bonus points with that, so will let you know how it goes.
Adios until tomorrow
