Hubby and I had a fab evening out last night, as new neighbour stayed at ours and looked after our son. It's so lovely to be able to spend time together alone. We just haven't done it enough over the past two years. Must try harder.
So, lie in would have been nice, but Godson had other ideas! 6am.
Without going into detail, hubby and I are clearly relaxing as, for the first time in AGES we actually grabbed a quickie. In the morning. Our son was downstairs, but did come up just as we'd finished and asked hubby "you changing Mummy's nappy?!"
Anyway, today was the day Christmas began. Hubby and I had the day off, so we went to buy our Christmas tree. Our son was so excited and ran around the garden centre picking up every Father Christmas he could find. It's great when the three of are togther and he's in a good mood. We were home by 11, the tree was up, decorated, we had lunch and son was in bed by 1230.
The reason it was all a bit rushed was because we had the children's Christmas party this afternoon. Wow, what a whirlwind. 6 children under 4. Tiring just to watch. We got into the conversation about schools, what a minefield. The big debate is private or not and I'm baffled already.
They were gone by 6 and we had a fairly chilled evening. I now a bottle of wine down, lying on my sofa having my feet rubbed.
Really don't want to go to work tomorrow :-(

Hello! Just hopped over from BMB and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm also a working mother of one. I had to laugh at your son's comments about 'changing Mummy's nappy'!
Know what you mean about not wanting to go to work... although it's our Christmas lunch tomorrow and then the weekend, hooray.
