2 elephants in the room

At the moment I carry on as usual; I'm working hard, pushing myself and arranging holidays with friends. This is a good thing, right?

Trouble is, every now and then I forget the elephants in the room:

1) I'm still not pregnant after 9 months of trying
2) We have about 6 weeks of hubby's pay-off left

On point one:
We're trying the every other day method, but yeaterday's wasn't the most sucessful in history. I don't know if it's related to point two, but all is not bliss in the world of colouring. Don't get me wrong, we're trying and mostly still enjoying it, we're just having a few issues getting the fat lady to sing (if you catch my drift!), which is kinda critical in the conception journey!

On point two:
I promised myself I would stay out of this one. It's his job, his career, he has to sort it. I'll always be there with advice and support, but I can't do this for him. If I could double my salary over night, I would, but that's not going to happen in the short term. So instead, I politely ask him every evening "how's it going" and every evening I get the same response.... Nothing today. We have SIX weeks. Then we're buggered.
