Thank you

Firstly I want to thank all those who have left me lovely comments on this blog and on Twitter. It's strange that you all know, but my family and friends don't.

It's all been a bit surreal overall actually. The whole was I / wasn't I? Then a dash to the chemist on mid-Saturday because it was doing my head in so much. Then standing with at the bathroom window hand in hand with hubby watching the egg timer flashing, for what seemed like a total age, until the words appeared.... Pregnant 1 - 2 weeks. Then after a few tears, some hugs and kisses we went downstairs and told our friends. Weird in itself considering we kept our first pregnancy secret until 12 weeks last time. Then I texted my reflexologist!

It might sound strange that we've told friends before family.. but you haven't met my mother! I know my friends will keep it a secret, my mother on the other hand will do the old "don't tell anyone, but" to all her friends and before I know it the world and his wife will know.

Also, some of our friends knew we were trying, none of our family did.

Today I felt like I was flying at work; I was so happy. I also told the friend who told me recently that she's pregnant and she's over the moon. She was 7 weeks on Saturday and I'm 4 weeks tomorrow (going by ovulation), so we're going to have a great time enjoying our pregnancies together.

My only concern at the moment is my weight. I KNOW it sounds pathetic, but I put on loads of weight in my last pregnancy and I'm so scared of it happening again. It wasn't so bad during the pregnancy (apart from the thunder thighs), it was the post-pregnancy belly that really upset me.

Saying that... I have just finished my Green & Blacks Butterscotch Easter Egg... what's a girl to do ;-)

You may find you gain less this time round because you'll still have the little one to run around after. I definitely gained a lot less with Miss C. Just enjoy the pregnancy! Great excuse to enjoy some treats!
