Volcanic Ash Cloud

Now that's a phrase I hadn't really thought about much before today...

At 5am this morning when a note was slipped under my door, I thought someone was taking the piss.

"Ms X, we write to inform you that all flights from the airport are cancelled this morning due to a Volcanic Ask Cloud coming over from Iceland"

As I went to bed early, I though it was a rather un-funny albeit unoriginal hoax.

BBC1 on.... not a joke... bugger

So, the journey began.

I was only in Scotland, so it wasn't really a major expedition, but I can tell you that the East Coast Mainline is actually quite beautiful.

I was back in London by 5pm, but then had to make my way by tube all the way to Heathrow to pick up my bloody car!

Thankfully home, having picked up my son by 8pm.

But you know the MOST exciting thing.....?  Tomorrow is Test Day
