He slept in! At first we joked that our friends had drugged him because he was still asleep at 8am!
It was a lovely day, our friends stayed for a while and we had a delicious continental breakfast with bucks fizz. I was really spoilt and got a lovely Union Jack cushion. Apparently our son chose it himself, which makes it extra special.
Once our friends had left we all relaxed for a while and then I headed off for my next treat: a Thai Head and Shoulder Massage! It's a bit of a pleasure / pain experience, but the feeling afterwards is awesome... I felt two inches taller. While I was having my massage, hubby and son went to buy food for dinner. Unfortunately, one my massage was finished I got a text from hubby saying that our son was inconsolable and that he couldn't leave Sainsbury's with him. When I arrived, hubby was sat with our son asleep in his arms, which is just SO unlike him, poor thing. We had to carry him home and then I spent the next 3 hours on the sofa with him snuggling into me. Luckily enough it was the Grand Prix and the Rugby, so I couldn't complain too much ;-)
We were hoping to be able to go to the garden centre this afternoon to start planning our garden for the summer, but with our son being so under the weather we decided that we'd just veg at home instead. Hubby's just cooked me a delicious roast lamb, which we enjoyed in peace while our son slept on the sofa.
We had to endure the "bad mood when just woken up for nap" and then the "I'm fine now so I'm going to stay up with you now you've got me ready for bed" couple of hours, but now our son is in bed, I'm blogging on my knee whilst watching a great programme on the Wonders of the Solar System, hubby is reading The Sunday Times and the cat's licking it's arse.... it's the perfect family picture.
There are two elephants still in the room though:
Am I pregnant?
Will hubby get the job tomorrow?

Sorry your day didn't go quite according to plan but I have to confess I quite enjoy those days when they're slightly under the weather and want to snuggle up all day with you.
Good luck for tomorrow.
