Mumford and Sons

I'm still cool, I'm still with it....

And just to prove the point, this evening hubby and I went to see Mumford and Sons at Shepherd's Bush.

They were great, short and sweet, but great.

Leaving our son with good friends at 5pm, we headed out on our "date". I was the good wifey and suggested that we should start the evening in a pub so we could watch the rugby (storing up credits for tomorrow...) and then we went for a curry.

By 9pm we were brushing shoulders with the youth of today, who were wearing an eclectic mix of lumberjack shirts and tweed caps, sipping G&T from plastic cups and sitting on a bench neatly covered by velcro style carpet. Pure class!

But hey, it's not all about champagne cocktails and Michelin Stared restaurants. We were together, we had a really good laugh and we almost forgot that the BIG interview is on Monday.

OOH you lucky thing! I've only just tweeted that I got the Mumford & Sons CD for Mother's Day, having dropped several hints over the last few weeks. They are brilliant and now I feel I'm cool! But you, going to see them, are ice cool!

Like Trish I thought I was still pretty cool to have this album. I love it. So jealous you went to see them! X
