28 Weeks Pregnant

So, incase you were wondering, I didn't end up in a bitch fight with the rude man on the train. I walked off and kept my dignity.

Also, incase you were wondering... it's now just under 12 weeks until Christmas!!

My week this week has mainly been made up of getting some work done, while trying out how one creates a "Nemo" cake for a three year old, with very specific requirements, such as a a "black diver..." It's not as easy as it sounds, believe me, especially with my high standards! I've got the Nemo figures from ebay, the black diver (World Peacekeepers) from Bentalls and all the coloured icing from Kooks Unlimited in Richmond. I'm using a recipe from the Good Food Guide, as recommended by a friend and the work starts on Friday - eek!!

Pregnancy-wise, I'm knackered and really not enjoying the dark mornings and rain, but I'm counting down the days and weeks and that's what's keeping me going. I've actually started producing colostrum already, which is strangely comforting. It makes me remember how much I loved breastfeeding... I can't wait.

So, this is me, 28 weeks pregnant:

According to BabyCentre, my baby now weighs a little more than 1kg and may measure up to 38cm from top to toe. At about this time, he can open his eyes and turn his head in my uterus (womb) if he notices a continuous, bright light shining from the outside. He's getting used to blinking his eyes, which now have eyelashes.

His fat layers are continuing to form and his bones are nearly developed, though they are still soft and pliable. His bones won’t harden properly until after he's born.
