15 weeks! Where has that gone?
Although my weekly photo seems to defy me, by the end of the day now I'm supporting quite an obvious bump. It's probably water retention, but I'm ok with that.
There are probably three running themes this week:
Jelly sweets
Hair
Energy
Finally I seem to be moving into my second trimester of "blooming", which basically means I don't feel like falling asleep in every available corner and actually managed a night out (albeit with chronic indigestion!) Without falling asleep on the way home.
We may be turning a corner with the hair too... It's been falling out for the last couple of months, which is quite surprising really considering it's supposed to do the opposite in pregnancy, but this week I've noticed it looks much healthier in the morning than normal. When I'm not pregnant I can't go more than 24 hours without washing it, but I might be brave enough to leave it for 48 at some point next week.... Get me, living on the edge!
And finally, jelly sweets... Wine gums, skittles, you name it, I'll have it. I'm not usually one for sweets at all, which is what is making it even more strange. Of course I'm still reading into it; last time all I wanted was salt and cheese... Now it's fruit and jelly sweets. Am I going to be able to wait another 25 weeks to find out if my dreams of a girl will come true?
So, this is me, 15 weeks pregnant:
I'm feeling slightly more comfortable in my own body again, mainly because my appetite has calmed down a bit and I didn't put on too much weight last week. Or maybe I've just accepted the fact that I really can't control it.
Oh, and I think I may have felt a few "flutters", but I can't be sure.
According to babycentre this week, although I've probably gained between 2.2kg and 4.5kg, (ha ha ha ha ha, i"ll just pick myself up off the floor) my baby weighs in at only about 70g. He measures nearly 9.1cm long, crown to rump. I may not know it when it happens, but my tiny tenant frequently gets the hiccups, which babies learn to do before breathing. Babies don't make any sound because their windpipe (trachea) is filled with fluid rather than air. My ;baby's legs are growing longer than his arms now and all his joints and limbs can move. His genitals may be developed enough to show on an ultrasound scan....

Is it true that we can see the genitals when we are 15 weeks pregnant? I didn’t know about it. Let me know once you are done taking Ultra Sound this week. Keep writing and Congratulations.
