Well, I am delighted to report that all went really well.
The moment the scanner went on my stomach though, the sonographer said "are you sure about your period?, and all I could see was a black expanse. I almost burst into tears, I was convinced there was nothing there, or, if there was it was too small for my dates. I just said yes, and then there was silence.
LONG SILENCE
Until she said "and can you see the heartbeat?". I was elated, just a really poorly timed first question I think.
Anyway, baby was happy jumping around and everything they check at this stage seems normal, including the NTS. Only thing that changed slightly was my due date, to 24th December, so I'm actually 12+3 today.
Quote of the day had to go to the sonographer though "yes, you see there are only two hands...!"
Once at work I made the dreaded call to my boss, who honestly seemed delighted, so that's a huge weight off my mind.
I'm slowly telling my team, but I'm not broadcasting it to the world... even though I really want to.
So happy :-)

Glad it went well! It's the best bit when you can start telling people you are pregnant. Makes it seem all the more real.
