I do feel a little bad letting my son sit downstairs in front of CBeebies for a hour and a half while hubby and I have a lie in on a Sunday morning.... but not that bad... It's educational afterall! Oh, and just in case you were wondering, we were sleeping - luxuries like that just can't be missed.
So, our day started at 10am with yummy poached egg on toast and eggybread for son. It's what winter Sundays are made of: rain lashing at the windows, there's only one thing for it, Beef Stew and dumplings! A quick dash to Sainsbury's (well, as quick as you can with a 2 year old trying to fill your trolly with basics beef, while "re-planting" carrots through the wire mesh)and I was back, browning beef and listening to my husband proclaim that I'm the best wife ever...
Son slept for almost 2 hours and then we dashed into town for three rather random essentials:
wellies for son (size 9 age 2.. Go figure!)
baby wipes (forgot at Sainsbury's)
champagne daaaarling (to be enjoyed home with new neighbours)
Arrived home at 6 ish, tucked into stew and then hubby did bathtime while I caught up with mother. My side of the conversation:
hi
yes he's still up
no, we do let him up after 7 sometimes
say hello to Granny
don't whisper
he never talks on the phone sorry
so, how was last night?
U hu?
Mmm
really
yup
mmm
ha ha ha
mmm
(20 mins later)
better let you go and watch Xfactor
bye x
So, that's my weekend. I do have a problem with relaxation, the problem is I get bored!
Now watching Top Gear and can't believe it's bed in 20 mins.
But hey, 3 day week then MARRAKECH
