21 Weeks Pregnant

Another week bites the dust and I'm still feeling ok, but tired. The big event was clearly my scan on Friday and I'm delighted that all is well. The measurements were all spot on and there was nothing that was anything other that what should be expected. The clarity of the picture was also incredible - we could even see the lips as the little mouth opened and closed. And did we found out the sex? Of course we did!

So, this is me, 21 weeks pregnant:

According to BabyCentre, I may soon feel like my baby's practising martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into fully fledged kicks and nudges, which is spot on - as I'm typing I feel like i'm getting a really good kicking and it's the best feeling in the world. My baby now weighs about 360g. Up until now he has been measured from crown to rump but from this point on the measurement will be from crown to heel – and this week he is about 27cm long. His eyebrows and eyelids are fully developed, and he can now blink.
